Property Description

The Edward Denison House is a historic colonial farm. Your stay in the historic bed and breakfast inn provides a romantic escape for a weekend or a week and the perfect New England vacation. The 1710 colonial New England home offers friendly, romantic and spacious accommodations for the B&B visitor. This historic farm provides excellent opportunities for quiet, romantic walks, secluded hideaways for reading, birding and bird watching and rousing games of badminton and croquet. Whether for romantic getaways, family visits, vacation rental or business meetings experience fine country lodging at its best at Another Second Penny Inn. A five course breakfast is served Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, guests enjoy breakfast served at early or, for those wishing to sleep late, a buffet is set out when the innkeepers leave for church. The menu uses seasonal ingredients and highlights New England recipes. Sandra bakes "from scratch" coffee cakes, muffins, scones and bread. Jim creates a fruit course of vanilla poached pears, fresh berry compote or cider sautéed apples with yoghurt among other possibilities. He also whips up an assortment of homemade sorbets to finish off your meal.
