Property Description

The bed & breakfast experience at the AppleLodge can be a peaceful and relaxing stay indoors in the spacious sunlit fireplace room and study, or it can be spent outdoors seeing the sights and enjoying the beauty of God's creation to your heart's desire. The first thing you notice when you enter the AppleLodge is the massive fireplace in the Fireplace Room. This sunken great room is a welcoming, sunbathed expanse to relax in and enjoy the lodge like atmosphere. This is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows, wood planked ceilings, and an overhead bridge with reading loft. Though the room is expansive the fellowship in this room can be cozy. It's also a great place to play cards, board games, work on a puzzle. On the west side of the Fireplace Room is a study with lots of books to read, a TV to watch movies, and another grand view of the San Juans and Del Norte Peak, one of Colorado's often snow capped peaks over 12,000 feet in elevation. The dining room has a large picture window with a beautiful view of the San Juan Mountains. Warmed by the morning sun, this is a great place to thoroughly enjoy the AppleLodge breakfasts while watching the birds and chipmunks eat too. Behind the AppleLodge is a gathering area with tables, benches, patio with BBQ area, and a Swim spa/hot tub for spending time enjoying the blue skies by day and the starry skies by night. The hot tub can easily fit as many as 10 people at a time.
